Angelina Jolie faces a new enemy in “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil”: Michelle Pfeiffer’s Queen Ingrith. The first official trailer for the follow-up to 2014’s Disney hit “Maleficent” dropped Monday, and it shows a battle about to erupt between Jolie and Pfeiffer’s characters. The two are fighting over Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning), who has been raised by Maleficent and tells her she is soon to be married. Maleficent says no to the idea. “Love,” she tells Aurora, “doesn’t always end well.”Meanwhile, Queen Ingrith wants to control Aurora and wants the wedding to go forward. “You have done an admirable job going against your own nature to raise this child,” she tells Maleficent. “But now, she will finally get the love of a real mother. Tonight I consider Aurora my own.”Maleficent lets loose her powers and the two start a war.
Mistress of Evil” hits theaters Oct. 18.
